Happy to be a part of the Fiesta World Craft Bazaar at the Florence Filberg Centre this weekend. Tons of fair trade vendors selling swag from all over the world! I’ll be there selling some art and raising money for Raincoast Conservation Foundation who are working hard to keep our coast oil free. It’s Fiestas 22 year in the valley and it’s brought a lot of great people and causes together over the years. Always a great place to find unique gifts that give twice.
Thanks to Comox Valley Arts Council, three of my paintings have been selected to be exhibited starting on November 20th, 2014 at the Comox Valley Airport.
For the past couple of years the airport has taken on a Arts and Culture Program aimed at promoting local artists in their gallery. This winter, the theme is “Wanderlust” which will highlight some of the Islands most beautiful outdoor destinations. As it is the first stop for many visitors, the airport gallery is a great way to spark travellers interests and show them what this incredible island has to offer!
The display will be up for five months and will include works from 19 North Island artists. There will be an official press release on November 20th that will give all the artists a chance to talk about their work, so be sure to check it out in the paper or on t.v.
Really excited to be a part of this event!
