FOREST ECHOES

Original acrylic paintings on Red Belt Conks, harvested from the temprate rainforests of Vancouver Island. Called Echoes by the Coastal First Nations, these fungi are the fruiting body that grow on infected dead or dying Fir and Hemlock trees. They are my favourite medium to paint on and make very unique West Coast gifts. Believed to emit echoes through the woods, they carry with them powerful spiritual properties. Once placed inside your house they offer protection the from negative energies. Tree conks are also packed full of medicinal properties that aid the immune system and viral/cancer attacks.
